Ducati News Today report that they’ve heard that the 1199 has 187bhp at the rear wheel. The news apparently comes from a technician talking about what he learned about the Panigale, dropping the statistic into conversation.
Our friends at MotoCorsa dropped us a line to share their Ducati 1199 Panigale tech video. The video shows AJ Ralston (MasterTech) talking to Arun Sharma (General Manager) talking about what he learnt about the new Panigale and he casually drops that the bike makes 187 rear wheel horsepower!
The whole video is worth watching if you want to learn about the brand new bike and engine (really the first all new Ducati engine since the 1980 Pantah) but the 187bhp bombshell is at 3:45. With a claim of 195hp at the crank it is hard to believe the bike could be 187 strong at the wheel but we’re happy to be proven wrong.
