Read all about the Moto Rapido’s attempt in BSB with the 1199 Panigale. BSB will be the first competitive event that the Panigale will take part in. Everyone is interested to see how the bike will perform and there will be massive importance to Ducati themselves, as well as the WSB teams scrutinising the performance over the season.

Well, as you know, I am involved with the Moto Rapido Panigales that we are running in BSB this year…bikes are here, and we have them at Brands on Wednesday and Snetterton on Thursday, so I thought I’d try to make a blog tracking what happens to us this year, as the Panigale is an unknown quantity to us all.

I cant stress the importance of this project to Ducati themselves. I feel sure that we will be scrutinised by members of the WSB squad as we go along…and the bikes were factory built, we only had to add the control Motec ecu and build a loom, and fire the bikes up.
I’ll try to give as unbiased a view of how it all goes, step by step, warts and all…as far as confidentiality permits me too. So far, I can tell you that we havent run the bikes on any overseas tests, just here, and the first rides out will be this week…..the two guys riding them will be Scott Smart, long term Moto Rapido teamster, and new for this year is Abdulaziz Bin Laden…..no jokes please lads, he’s probably already heard them, and no, he ISNT riding number 911………
