They work surprising well, as I found out today, although 3x canisters of CO2 only managed to inflate a rear tyre to 16 psi, good enough to get me home though. jean grey xmen
Fortunately never had to repair a tyre yet but i did buy and excellent compact compressor from a Shell garage of all places, one of the offers they have, for the princely sum of £11 Fits under my MTS seat along with the repair kit.
Most of the CO2 vents to atmosphere because there are no seals on the connector. There are cycle CO2 inflators with seals that will put most of the CO2 where it belongs, in the tyre. But the compact compressor described by Nozzle sounds good.
