Hm821sp In The Wet...

Discussion in 'Hypermotard' started by Dave821SP, Dec 20, 2014.

  1. Hello

I know I've posted already today, but I've just got back from a wet/greasy/windy ride, and.. I dunno...but every time i ride this thing, I feel I've got to tell someone about it, its frickin FANTASTIC.

I normally use it in Sport Mode but have the throttle set to High, DTC 2, ABS 3 (everything is OFF in Race mode, but thats for warmer days than today!)

There is a SuperCorsa on the front thats covered 5000 miles and is well past the wear bars (new BT30 in the post) and the BT30 on the rear.

Theres no way this thing should stop..corner... and accelerate like it does in the wet and cold, you can properly take the piss and it just seems to get on with the business of getting you round and out of the bend. that BT30 on the rear is great, spins up when you grab a handful off the apex but the TC steps just before i run out of talent, but not before its made you feel like a bloody hero. Even the knackered SC on the front still seems to be delivering the goods, tracks a true line in the wet only getting a little vague splashing through mid-corner puddles.

If you've got one of these machines (or just thinking about it) get out there get some heat in the tyres and pretend like its a summers day.... What a blast.

    Dave

  2. Couldn't agree more, just got back from a 130mile coastal jaunt, from 2/3 gear power wheelies to flicking it through the twisty stuff it's great and a real head turner, though I'm starting to become a bit reliant on the DTC at times :)
