Hi folks, I'm thinking of selling my 2011 1198sp, It has 5211 miles on the clock,so hardly used! I understand this is probably the wrong time for selling due to weather and all,but just wanted know what people think. Bearing in mind if I sell in summer i may get more,but if buying a used bike to replace it,it would cost more. Anyways,I love the bike,but just feel I have not been able to use it due to work! The bike was painted by the original owner by rage design I'm lead to believe, It is still registered as an 1198sp! Has the ohlins ttx Shock and quick shifter that came with sp range J
If it were mine, I'd hang on to it and sell it probably April/May/June time. If I wanted to get another bike to replace it, but didn't have the cash - then maybe a short term loan from my bank manager to get a bike at current low winter prices and then pay the loan back when I'd shifted the 1198 in a few months time
Fantastic looking bike and if you can i would go with "david998" advise these will fetch quite a premium in April/May season kicks off. Good luck with the sale.
Thanks folks. As for price,I'm unsure? There are a few extras on it,full termis system(slash cut) slipper clutch,quick action throttle. I have seen a sp up for 9.5k,this has 16k on the clock,and no termis or other extras. I know the paint job won't be to everybody's taste,but I think it looks good. J
