Change km/h to mph on a 1200 Multi dash

Discussion in 'Multistrada' started by Chris916multi, Jul 1, 2013.

  1. Any one know how to change the dash from displaying km/h to mph?
My battery has been disconnected & I'm guessing km/h is the default setting!
    The manual is wrong!!:frown:

  2. Hold the headlight flash button and the indicator cancel button down and key on. Wait maybe 5 seconds and the display will show units. You can select speed units, temp and fuel consumption units using the left hand controls. Key off and back on as normal and all should be well.

  3. Have you actually done this or just reading from the manual.
I tried this last weekend & I found all it did was go into another menu :frown:

  4. Done it, many times, without a problem. Sometimes releasing the left switches too early means doing it again, but always got there.

  5. What a buggar! Just come back from a 2500 mile round trip to Italy and tried numerous times to change from mph to kph. Every time I tried I got the rider and luggage menu. Gave up after a while and changed it on my sat nav instead. The manual is not dead clear. Tried with engine started and engine off but not the way you describe.

  6. What page of the manual is this?

  7. I can vouch for this method; used last year on trip to France.

  8. It's not in the owner's manual but it is in the workshop manual-

  9. Very easy do do, once you know how.

  10. And page 105 of the owners manual.

  11. Not in the 2010 owner's manual.

  12. How odd. I always consult an electronic owners manual that I downloaded for the S Touring from the Ducati website. That one (code on the back cover 913.7175.1L) definitely has it on page 105. However, in the version linked to from Andy W's site (code 913.7.175.1A) that section is missing.

    How Italian...

  13. For my 2010 1200 ABS, I have the hard copy 913.7.170.1A and the downloaded pdf 913.7.170.1B and it's not mentioned in any of them!

  14. In my manual it says start engine first, does not mention holding button in before switching on ignition. I spent ages trying then gave up. Will try this way now

  15. Think I looked on you tube try that
