Pdoiler Install

  1. Just finished installing a PDOiler on my 2012s. Love the design of this thing but came across the same old problem that most people do when trying to install the oiler on a single sided swing arm.

Mounted the reservoir and pump on the RH side of the bike. Removed the side fairing and rerouted the diagnostic wire that was in the way.

Timer wired into accessory plug on the RH side of bike, soldered wires in placed and the. Sealed the whole thing up with heat shrink.

Timer mounts really nice on the bracket that holds the RH accessory socket in place.

Rubber mount for feed tube was modified to trap under the chain wear strip (there is a small recess in the swinging are just back from the mounting screw so it does not really make the wear strip sit any further away from the swinging arm

Then, with the rubber block trapped under the chain wear strip I used super glue gel (gives a slightly flexible bond) to secure to the swing arm. Wedged in place until I was happy it was completely set.

    Ended up very secure

Had to cut down the feed tube and remove the collar on the wick.

Next I routed feed tube over the mudguard following brake pipes, simple!

Left some slack which can be tucked out of sight in the RH side of the bike for swinging arm movement.

Job done. Quite happy, just need it to warm up to do a proper test now.
