  5. Interesting reading, although for many bikers that don't display tax discs I suppose it makes little difference. Nice to see the rates for less than a year taxation come down.

  6. Wheres Funkywhatshisname when you want someone to 'go off onto one'?

  7. Of course the link in the OP is to Bennett's web-site : so it could all be bollox. Most of what they have told me recently certainly is !

  10. That's why I thought I'd post the article :)

  11. Kin liar ;)

  12. Busted :(

  13. Just another way for the tax man to make more money... and an excuse to put up more ANPR cameras.

  14. Oh ye of little faith and long experience

  15. Must be a hell of a slow news day in Manchester then - second headline the weather forecast!

  16. Must have had no shootings in the rain :p

  17. Makes a change from leaving a cake out in the rain....

  18. So if you go to the home of some bloke who is advertising a bike for sale, you agree a price, pay it, fill in the V5 ... what happens next? The seller keeps the tax, so you as the buyer have an untaxed bike. If you've got a trailer or a van you're OK, but if you need to ride the bike home, you will need to sort out that new tax pretty damn quick. Will DVLA really be able to handle transactions that quickly, 24/7? I wonder.

  19. first step to ditching road tax and putting it on fuel duty?
