Cans For The Impending 900ssie

Discussion in 'Supersport (1974-2007)' started by Wasted Time Lord, Apr 11, 2023.

  1. Termis at ~£1000 seem like overkill. When it's repaired I'll use the 999 when I want to go insanely fast, which is the only reason I can think of to spend a grand on silencers. Obviously I wouldn't sneeze at a small hp boost but mostly I'm concerned with looks and volume. Round or oval. I did think carbon but actually I think shiny might be better - polished stainless presumably.
    Any suggestions?

  2. Good evening. I agree a grand sounds like overkill. Maybe you like the high-up Bos I have coming in soon. Won’t break the bank. Via DM we could talk about money if you fancy them. Shipping from Holland so that will add something, can’t help it.

    Best

  3. I've got these Monster Termi cans hanging around, ex Monster S4 I believe.

They are only damaged at the rear, and obviously you'd need to find somebody to cut and shut them to your original link pipes.

The good news is they are £250

  4. Thanks guys. I should add I won't be changing them right away. I do want to ride awhile with the original awhile - and I might find, I suppose, that they'll do anyway. Awhile.

  5. Looking at Pipewerx/Hawk. Seem very reasonably priced and pretty.

  6. I wish it was closer, I have a spare set of 3 spoke wheels and standard cans that I could swap in/on to it before punting it on.

The wheels are quite sought after.

  7. I like these, but no idea if they'd look right on the bike.

  9. Yikes!
    Carbon fibre cans look cool.

  10. Black would go with the theme.

  12. I've got half-a-dozen pics found online, more carbon than not - which I hadn't looked at since I said I was thinking on those lines. I just looked at then again and I think it's no contest really. I think maybe bright looks good on bikes in race livery - on Suzukis and Kawasakis - the Microns as mentioned by Rushjob above. But on solid colour modern bikes, black is probably best.
I think I prefer high level. Though I'll pass on Sils at nigh-on 1000 Euros.

I figure the powder black will go best with the yellow.

  15. In post No 15 I notice you have disagreed with your comment
While I fully endorse disagreeing, particularly with many of my own postings and subject matter, I’m curious as to how this is actually possible.

    Top Zorsts indeed.
