2012 1199 panigale S 7500 miles Currently used as a track bike but has all the road kit boxed up. Previous 2 owners known to me Bikes always had servicing when needed (last service beginning of year Ducati Coventry) CRC race fairings Carbon rear seat cowl Race seats carbon seat with carbon tank extender. Spider Rearsets in race shift Bike sport Developments switches Bike sport Developments auto blipper Moto holders front frame and rear frame GB RACING engine casings CNC Racing crash bungs Full inox steel Termignoni exhaust system with up map Jetprime keyless ignition Lightweight lithium battery Brakes all brembo and all good Running standard ’S’ suspension and being the S it has the light weight Marchesini wheels Bad points: I lost my balance loading it on the stillage at Portimao. Cracked lower fairing and tiny dent in exhaust. Very annoying Will come with front (Harris) and rear (Ducati) stands and set of Uber tyre warmers. Possibly looking at getting a V4s so only selling to raise funds for new track bike. £12000
I have a similar beast built by MoRap and have enjoyed every mental moment blasting it around tracks in Europe. It represents the last of the line in my view for the big V-twin era and I now also have a V4 which is far better behaved, but lesser smile factor.
The power delivery is savage on the 1199 and IMO the prettiest Ducati in years. I’ll miss it when it’s gone!
Modern electronics have rendered that brutal power surge extinct. It is truly addictive and produces monster fourth gear wheelies without AWC. As for the looks, yeah, a worthy successor to the 9*6 in my humble opinion that will only appreciate over time. The track bike with the road kit is a very attractive package. That way you get the visceral onslaught, but could go all pussy cat back on the roads.
It started life as a 749R, went straight to JHP to have the “RS” package installed, then off to Supersport with Easton on board followed by Emmett. Now it has me on board
