899 1st Service

Discussion in 'Panigale' started by Dr Mark, Jun 30, 2015.

  1. 899 had my first service and the TPS & APS were re calibrated, wow what a difference the bike is so silky smoooooth, and to think I rode all those miles with it not perfect! Mind you on a 170 mile run last Sunday the dash reported 53mpg!

    Gorgeous bike.

  2. 53mpg! You're not riding hard enough - have a slap!:Blackeye:;)

  3. I think it was because there was a disconnect between throttle and injectors???? That somehow the ecu gave such amazing mpg?

  4. Did they do this as standard? What do these stand for btw?

  5. Had my first service last week, not sure what was done but definitely goes much better. Well impressed though not with the £194 cost of it!

  6. Yes I'm expecting mine to cost similar, but I didn't know theyImproved the fuelling.

  7. I picked up my 899 today after it's first service. I'd covered 681 miles in the first two weeks of owning it

Nothing was mentioned about any re-calibration. Just 1.6 hrs of time to 'service' it / drain and fill with 3.2L of 10w40 oil, this cost me £166 all in.

I'm enjoying the extra RPM I'm allowed to use now just not all of it yet :(

  8. Mines booked in on the 23rd for its Annual service - will be speaking to them about a few bits and bobs, looking forward to seeing how it feels after a service as feel as though it needs one

  9. Mine's now booked in for the 29th. I spoke to them and they will upload any new software updates available which might have accounted for the improved smoothness. Other than that they don't do anything other than the routine checks and change the oil.

  10. Mine was serviced yesterday - first Annual service - new front tyre Supercorsa SC2 - Had a loan bike for a day and never ridden one prior to this, wow what a bike and what a service from the dealer WM Snell

  11. I took one out on demo day because it was the only bike left. Felt a bit disappointed until I rode it. Absolutely brilliant bike! Easy to ride and bags of power, was really impressed!

  12. TPS: Throttle Position Sensor :upyeah:
    APS: Autoimmune Polyglandular Syndrome :Wideyed:

  13. New front tyre

    Pissing with rain all day

should make the commute home interesting

  14. Bike now serviced by Moto Rapido of Winchester. £250.

  15. Shit me how much ????

  16. I can't believe the disparity, that's almost £100 more expensive than mine. :(

  17. Invoices says 1.9 hours labour @ £85ph and the oil cost £60!

  18. Strewth! I just had an annual service done at Snells with the updates etc, and a warraty job and it still didnt cost as much!
