Silverstone Track Day Today!

Discussion in 'Ducati General Discussion' started by quantuman, Aug 28, 2015.

  1. I'm sat here at home watching some guys (SKY BT Sport) on Ducati's blasting around Silverstone...Memories of the last Ducati Track day a few weeks ago.....

  2. I was there a week last Monday laying rubber for them so I'm sure the lap record will go this weekend - happy to help, although my rubber was totally off line and from too late braking :(

  3. and what was your best lap? and did you use the GP circuit? is there a Club?

  4. Your supposed to get all the way round, that's over 3 miles!!! :Wideyed:

  7. Ian and Dovi 4th & 5th fastest....Looking forward to FP2!

  8. Marshalls van dropped it off at the back of the garages outside signing on - about mid afternoon.

  11. You do ride then ;)

Still a real lack of footage on youtube. Keep looking for the fella I was following, one handed, knee down and waving

  12. :Mooning: is that all you saw of me? And why didn't you wave back? What were you doing in the novice group :D
My first track day, dug the zip on leather jeans out and had to have a pit crew to zip me in each session  They were that tight the only thing my knee could touch was the tank :D but surprised a couple of guys at the hairpin both knee down, when I took them on the inside with mine still touching the tank :D
It was well hectic and not smooth, too many people breaking 100m too early :Wideyed:

  13. Enjoy it? Hooked now? Coming to join us do a few?

  14. It was fab, you could be my mentor :D
The only down side was the travelling before and after with a 4am start.
The guys I went with do a lot of European circuits so that would be a good adventure - they ship the bikes for free too . They do Brno every year which is 40 mins from where my daughter lives so that has to be on the cards.
Would love to get my Endurance rep Kawasaki finished and on track though.

  15. Euro days will make you stop doing UK ones ;)

Brno is on most riders lists, pretty close to the top :upyeah:

  20. I agree, uk days are great and the circuits are good but you always seem to be at the mercy of the weather..........European day are the way to go, i'm lucky enough to be close to some great circuits, the standard is always pretty good and you don't have to take a spare set of wheels with wets.....:)
