judging by his ebay feedback (100%) he's a car breaker - "selling on behalf of a friend" may be genuine, but it would increase my wariness
Yeah I picked up on that too. I've had a reply from him on my voicemail and he sounds genuine enough. I've asked him for the reg number so I can HPI it.

Well i did the HPI and it was all looking good, but i needed to get some details from his V5, like Vin serial # , issue date and chassis number, and when could I come to see the bike. I asked him these questions yesterday morning via text message and Ive heard nothing from him since. We had an agreed price of £5200.....thought it sounded too good to be true !!!
Ideally i would have bought a lower mileage one, which are going to be a lot more than the £5.2k For this one but I'm having to wait until the ex wife sells the house which would clear the way for me to have the funds. This one came up on ebay and i could just about manage that price. Hopefully it won't take too long to sell the house so probably looking at next season now before I'll be in a position to get a decent lower mileage multi.
OK. I was considering selling mine at a good price. Not as cheap as that but I was thinking about £7k with most of the add-ons taken off as it's due the 15k. I can get that done for £330 inc VAT for the belts but am not riding it at all at the moment so really can't be arsed getting it done!
If the bike is ok on HPI and looks ok, it might be, especially if he's a car dealer that doesn't normally deal with bikes. I bought an XR1200X Harley off a car dealer at an excellent price (great bike too). It just wasn't something he normally dealt in. May be worth a look.
Yes mate, I've owned it for 3 years, it's a 2010 on a 61 plate. Last oil and filter 2k miles ago using Shell Advance oil. All recalls done. New tyres (Pilot sport) and chain has done 2k miles. It's fitted with a Scottoiler which I'd leave on. It has a Tricolore decal kit, lacquered over. it had the speedo replaced at 10k miles so is now showing 5k miles. There's a few bits on it I'd leave on but I would be removing the Quat D, Brembo M4 calipers, Barkbusters, crash guards, spotlights, rear sprocket carrier and sprocket (anodised black "trick" ones), and all the parts that are dipped to look exactly like carbon fibre with the exception of the front mudguard. It's been to Chris at CJS so runs like a dream and pulls like a train. I'd leave the Ohlins upgraded SCU on for an extra £100. There's lots of other bits such as the Tricolore seat cover and adjustable black levers I'd leave on but the rear tail tidy and Rizoma indicators, as well as the Rizoma fluid reservoirs would be sold separately. I'd leave the Factory Racing clutch slave cylinder on as well. It would come with panniers but the topbox and rack could be negotiated or I'd sell them as well. It has absolutely NO corrosion on the engine cases and really is in superb condition. I'm just not using it at all, it's been unused since the last tour to Europe in June. It's HPI clear, no outstanding finance and I'm the second owner after Metropolis bikes in London. I bought it with 1000 miles on it.
Yeah the HPI looked ok apart from a few details missing that i need from the V5. But the guy has still not replied ...
