  1. image.jpg This bike was stolen from ross on Wye, Herefordshire on the wkd. Just posted on FB. Get back to me if you have any info and I will pass it on. Cheers.

  2. Fuckin arseholes of society mate and I hope you get it back in one piece.

It's for this reason I now fit trackers to every bike (two trackers per bike).

PAYG SIM card, it tells you when it's being disturbed and where it is.

    Around £30 on eBay.

Good luck and sorry to hear.

Will most likely be broken for parts to feed some scumbags race bike or to be sold on the bay.

  5. Arseholes, sorry to hear your news

  6. not good

  7. Words cannot express what I think about these lowlifes...

However it is a distinctive bike so I hope and pray it's amateurs and gets found quickly

  8. forced
    forced lock etc,, not ammys

  9. I will keep my eyes open of to the bike night in Tewkesbury tomorrow my bet that its been stolen to order

  10. Sorry guys. There must be some confusion. Not my bike. Just a fellow Ducati rider. Just wanted to warn you. That's why no number plates in photos. You just don't know who's scoping your kit. Made me think more about security.

  11. I like the idea of the PAYG tracker. Can I ask the reason for fitting 2 per bike?.

  12. One's more deeply hidden, plus it's a cheap extra 'insurance'

It only costs on the PAYG when the bike moves or has a big vibration/movement shock depending on how you set it up.

So it costs 30 quid, 5 quid top up, set auto top-up, costs a few quid a year per bike only. Love it.

  13. Guess I should make it obvious that when you're using the bike or working on it or whatever you tell the trackers to STFU and they don't bother texting you telling you what you already know.

    Guess that's obvious but hey

I.e. you only 'arm' them when you know you're leaving them alone.

  14. Regards the OP's comments on security etc...

It goes like this afaict - there are scum wannabe ganstaz that nick whatever they can take and break and there are the others that drive around in a van three or four handed and just lift bikes straight into the van and gone.

If the bike means something to you it seems smart to know that as soon as possible and know wtf it is right now etc. You can tell the cops exactly where it is, on which road, and headed in which direction, and follow it yourself should you wish.

Can't see why anyone wouldn't want to do this for something they may have put a lot of effort or whatever into.

  15. I'm liking the idea of the tracker. The only problem is, and this maybe just me but if my bike was stolen and I could see where it was, I would be more than tempted to not bother wasting my time waiting 3 days for the police to drag their sorry arses round there in which time the bike would probably have been stripped and gone. Instead me, my brother and 'Bertie' the base ball bat would be round there in a flash to retrieve it and put a few lumps on heads which could all end badly. It's a shame that members of the public have to turn detective to try and find stolen goods. I'm not having a go at the police, they are just trying to do their best within a broken system. My local police station closed and the nearest is now 12 miles away, try to ring and you get an answer phone telling you to log onto their website and leave a message and someone will get back to you within the next 24hrs! Brilliant! I know that if I want the police straight away all I have to do is take the car/bike out onto the road an do 100mph, I'll be caught by a copper hiding in a lay-by within the first mile. He's there to generate money to pay someone to come out and give you a crime number so you can claim on your insurance for whatever's been nicked because that's the cheaper option than trying to find the criminals!

  16. When I had my KTM 990 SMR stolen, I reported an eBay seller who was local to my area. They were selling the entire brembo system, marchensi wheels with the same tyres I had on etc... Police turned up with no warrant. By the time they returned with a warrant all of the items were gone. Useless.

  17. A woman keyed my car on my drive and I've have cctv .so I managed to get her mobile number by asking at the school she was at taking her kiddies swimming, tried to call her and say let's resolve this . Got a blank there but was advised don't get all Clinton Eastwood about it.report it .
6 weeks later nothing , they have her number . I've had one phone call after I prompted them and that was by mistake , he asked for another person but I remembered his voice .have been told they are formatting the cctv to view it wtf.
Now I feel it's like cluedo, in the library with the lead pipe . Have been told she will be offered a caution if she admits it . Choice , now I've still got to get my door painted .
I shall for one be going down the caution route myself if it's not sorted.
Sauce for goose and gander or Old Testament for the older reader
The upshot is , it's not that big a deal but a fucking Liberty that she can perform like this , the old bill are aware and ain't really doing anything about it because it's such low level crime . Criminal damage let the insurance sort it . Just got to suck it I suppose

  18. Where does the tracker get its source from? I.e do they run off the battery?

  19. You have remarkable levels of restraint! If I found out who'd keyed my car....
As Travolta said in Pulp Fiction, 'it would be worth having your car keyed if you could catch them doing it' :Rage:
