1098 And 848 Full Termi Systems The Same?

Discussion in 'Technical Help' started by enzo200500, Apr 29, 2016.

  1. Hi all, just trying to source a full Termi system for my 2009 1098 and have spotted a few for sale from Ducati wolverhampton.

They are showing a used full sysytem, slash cut tailpipes, ecu and filter for the 848's.

Would this system and ecu fit straight onto my 1098?

And, is the ecu straight plug and play, without the need for reflash etc?

    cheers all.

  2. No the 848 has a small bore in places

  3. Ah! Ok.

A bit confusing as they advertise a system that will fit the 848 and 1098?!

  4. Not the best ducati dealer from what I've heard .

  5. Double check but as far as I was aware the 1098/1198 system had a full 70mm bore and the 848 had 57mm headers/mids[IMG]
Photo is of my 848 system with only 70mm from 2nd mids to cans

  6. Looking at the secondhand parts they sell I would say they are not, would the get a Bmw dealer selling used tyres on eBay ?

  7. The 848 and 1098 termis IIRC are the same. The 1198 is different. I think the headers were different.
So they should fit but the ecu will need reflashing.

  8. The 1098R and 1198 share the same size system although not the 70mm as standard as has been recently posted in another thread. Andy
