  1. For Sale 1997 Ducati 916 Biposto

Stunning original Ducati 916 Biposto in immaculate condition. Owned by a Ducati enthusiast and always maintained regardless of cost. The bike must be one of the best in the country and really needs to be seen up close to be fully appreciated. This is a 1997 model so has the early graphics. Currently fitted with a Genuine Monoposto tail unit and Marchesini wheels. Original parts also included in the sale.

    Bike Details

    Ducati 916 Biposto
    First Registration: 27.02.1997
    Mileage: 24k
    MOT due: September 2017
V5 in my name and both keys present

    Service History

The bike has extensive service history showing the past services adding up to over £6k in servicing alone over the years. Since my ownership the bike has always ran on Motul 300v and changed regardless of mileage. The most recent services are listed below.

    25.11.2015 - 23,900 miles - CornerSpeed

The bike's last big service was carried out by Neil at Cornerspeed on 25th Nov 2015. The service included Motul 300v and filter, belts, fuel filter, coolant, brake and clutch fluid, ExactStart cable kit, alternator nut checked and engine tune-up.*

    04.08.2016 - 24,380 miles – CornerSpeed

New genuine fuel pump, fuel filter and fueling setup.

In the last 3 years I have replaced the following.

Genuine Ducati new rear sprocket, cush drives and nuts
    Genuine Ducati new chain (DID)

    New EBC discs and pads
    Genuine Ducati new disc bolts
    Genuine Ducati new coolant tank
    New YUASA Battery
New Michelin Pilot Power 2CT tyres

    Additional Parts.

The bike has a few additional parts listed below.

    Genuine Monoposto tail unit
    Marchesini wheels
Termignoni end cans and ECU chip installed
    Migliore reasets
Motor Rapido CDT-R Carbon front Mudguard
Moto Rapido CDT-R Carbon Half open clutch cover
    Carbon King exhaust heat shield
    Exact Start Cable kit

I’m sure Neil at Cornerspeed will vouch for the bike if you want to ask him any questions.

The only issues I have had with the bike in 3 years are a failed fuel pump and a leaking coolant tank. (Common issues). Both of which have been replaced with Genuine Ducati parts.

Happy to answer any questions. Please call 07731435063 after 4pm.

    Genuine reason for sale
    Thanks for looking

    Haydn

  10. I'm not that keen on this shape/era of bike, however this one looks fabulous, love it and am changing my opinion as we speak. I think the gloss black wheels really set it off.

Good luck with the sale mate.

  16. For how much?

  17. lot less than 8k!

  18. Yev,
I don't understand why your using this advert to make a comparison to how much you sold your 996 for? You must have been happy with the price you sold your 996 at based on how much you bought it for and how much work you put into it?? The price of a 996 shouldnt be compared to the price of a 916 with the early graphics, especially if you havnt seen the bike in the flesh. Obviously your not interested in the bike but whats not quite so obvious is why you want to put others off? If your comments arn't helpful to the sale of this bike then can you discuss elsewhere please.
    Thanks, Haydn.
