Picked up my new DVT Saturday, well I can honestly say for ride quality its the best bike I've ever owned or ridden. The suspension really is something else and I cant wait for a decent Euro jaunt. Roll on summer, at least by then I should have finished reading the set up options in the manual :anguished:
Glad you are happy with the new bike, welcome. And if you are looking for an excuse to ride with a bunch of other Multi owners on a euro jaunt there is still one hotel room left on the EMM trip EMM 2016- Mont Ventoux
I picked mine up on Tuesday and feel exactly the same m8. I've now done just over 300 miles in 4 days and my grin is ear to ear
Just got mine a couple of weeks ago too....the DVT S Touring...best bike i have ever owned....Had a new BMW S1000XR before this, and it and it had their ESA electronic suspension....but in my humble opinion the Skyhook is simply sublime....i don't regret my purchase.. ( I didn't even test ride one...lol just bought it and thought heyho )...I'm not disappointed in letting the BM go ( although i do miss her a little bit )
IMO the DVT Multi beats the XR in every way but one... and that's that it lacks a quickshifter. But hey, I can live with that!
To be honest long term I'm just not sure about the wisdom of fitting a quickshifter on a big high performance twin, it must put a strain on the gearbox and in all honesty, is it really necessary on the road ?
Hi, How did you get the hill hold function on your DVT? Any chance it can be added to the older DVTs via software upgrade?
Was already fitted, no mention of it in the manual, I found it by accident. Not sure if it can be retrofitted though
Squeezing the front brake tightly activates it on mine, don't use the back brake as it bloody awkward, specially fully loaded!
That's really helpful - I shall try it on one of the steep hills in Bath on Sunday and see how I get on ... I won't try it fully loaded the first time though, just in case
