Pani Owner Test Rode A Multi...

Discussion in 'Ducati General Discussion' started by Groutmaster, Sep 24, 2016.

  1. So I've got an 1199 and it's an awesome bit of kit but starting to dislike the (un)comfort of it. Tend to plan longer rides the last year or so and I don't look forward to getting back on her after a couple of hours riding.
Anyway, test rode the new multistrada today and thought it was pretty good fun. It doesn't try and rip your face off like the pani but really good fun round the lanes. But it's just ugly next to a panigale Don't know what to do!

  2. You should maybe try taking up knitting. It's a relaxing past time and after 3 to 4 hours, you won't worry about bikes, you will have a big fucking scarf to keep you warm.

  3. Vicious!!!

  4. Generally you can't see it when you're riding it

    Have you tried a monster ? ;p

  6. Monster is a bit too small and too much wind

  7. Went from a Pani to a dvt and loving it, can't get away from the fact that the Pani is without doubt one of, if not the best looking bike in the market today, however there's no getting away from the practicality and fun side of the multi. With a few subtle changes I think mine looks pretty good now too image.jpeg

  8. Very posh area, not a wheelie bin in sight.
I'd love a go on one to see if they are as quick as everyone says.

  9. A wheelie bin? Depends how steep the hill is

  10. Lol, 2 wheelie bins and a shed load of plastic recycling boxes which have now become an integral part of my daily routine to try to "save the planet"

  11. Post a pic of your bike. People on this forum like photos of bikes. Weird bunch.

  12. Plenty of power in the Multi and whilst I haven't test rode one I've had similar and the A road twisty performance is right up there on these types of bikes. If it means you ride more then I'd be right in there.

  13. Coming from an aprilia tuono MY2008 (which I still own and really enjoy it) found my Multi very comfortable and easy to ride for every day rides and touring, although you can still ride it very fast and you can catch up with sport bikes. At my perspective Multi is a bike you will enjoy it won't want to get off it.

  14. Writing as an ex Multi owner I know how much they can hurt your eyes so I understand you might be struggling with the idea of actually parting with your own money for one. In that case maybe wait for the new 939 ss/st that should be available next year ?
