Sit tight at that price if you can.

 

There's a fair few for sale at the moment. I've been watching the ones on eBay (mine is up too) and seeing which ones are selling... Which is not many. im planning to sit tight till spring and see how I feel then. I'm in the 'new house forces sale' brigade though I've not got the house yet so the force is currently fairly weak.

I'm 12 months/4000 miles since full service belts and valves which is realistically 2 years till they need doing again... If I've still got it in spring and I put another load of oil in the temptation to just keep it will be strong!

I guess the trouble is 899's at the 8500 - 9000 mark available right now.

Combination of things as the others have said. You'd probably have more luck if it was Spring.

When I was buying I always added the cost of getting aftermarket cans to the price. It's a real pain if you want the cans as you have to look for a decent set of used ones for £500 or pay the £800 plus for new.

 

If this was early next year id have it but don't have the cash at the minute.

 

Bike looks good so can only be price. IRRC Ali's was a year later, with full traction etc and mint and wasn't much more..shame but thats the market

 

Have you tried eBaying it with a low starting point and stick a reserve on it? Might give you a rough idea of what price people are prepared to pay. If it doesn't hit reserve you've not got much to lose - don't know how fees are worked on non-sales.
