Hi new to the forum Ducati MTS Pikes Peak 2012 owner 2nd duke after having 1198. Needing help as bike is punishing me for having very little go wrong in 5 years of ownership. Have a chronic starting issue post a chain snap on the A1 with alternator cover damage all fixed now but since having a starting issue. When it decides to start seems to fire on one cylinder once and then runs fine. Changed plugs and a coil no water found in the tube. Plug change seemed to correct issue but returned after 2 rides. Battery is fine not sure what else could be. Now just to top it off have DES Pre load and DTC warning. Which I'm assuming is ABS sensor and suspension issue. Any help greatly appreciated as this could run into an extremely large bill. Bike is booked into Ducati Leeds for fault finding next week but forearmed is forewarned as they say.
Hello again update on the progress bike won't start at all now and Ducati Leeds found no faults so as far as the bike is concerned its fine even though it won't start. Any ideas would be gratefully received. On the plus side changing the ABS sensor fixed the DTC error and bizarrely the suspension error?????
I think thats a contradiction in terms there "it wont start and theyve found no faults..." interested to see how this one pans out...welcome by the way...
Good question well phrased I put the bike into the garage so I'm hoping so. It went into Ducati John at Leeds so I'm hoping so.
