I have today picked up my car from my local Ford Dealers after it was repaired in their bodyshop. Long story short, a fully laden artic reversed into my parked car and caused over £1300 worth of damage. The driver of said artic stumped up the money and the car went in for repair whilst I had a weeks holiday. On getting the car home I needed to refill the washer bottle, so lifted the bonnet. I then saw that a component that had been cracked by the incident had not been replaced. An easy oversight you might think. This is the component that was to be replaced If you don't know what it is, the apertures each side take the headlights. I call it the front slam panel, to which the bonnet lock fixes. On the Focus this thing is made of plastic. I went back to the dealers to be told 'they had forgotten to do it'. Complaint gone in to Head Office and more incovenience to get the remedial work done. Spleen vented.
My friends Volkswagen went in for a service and came out with a gouge down the side of which they denied and then kept putting off getting it into their body shop to repair Bloody dealers
They're never the same after they've been repaired. Sometimes they leak water, but even if they don't they go rusty where the new panels have been fitted, usually after a couple of years so probably outside warranty...
I actually reached an official rating of peeved. The car is now fully repaired. Profuse apologies from the dealership concerned. Free courtesy car. Refund of labour and paint charges. HR are involved due to the actions of two staff members. Offer of the fitting of an accessory of my choice to the car FOC.
