  1. Relegation or me reminding you of your post? :)

  2. I have to repeat my post of Nov 20th:

    Who are the happier supporters?
    Newcastle, Sunderland or Middlesboro?

Tough one. Very tough one!:smiley::smiley:

  5. Newcastle United raided in HMRC tax fraud investigation
    • Newcastle managing director Lee Charnley released after HMRC investigation
    • Offices at St James’ Park and club training ground raided by tax authorities

    Down into Div. 3?

  6. Well, that feel good factor didn't last long.

    However it's a legal/tax matter not a league matter.
I'd still rather be supporting Newcastle than Sunderland! :tearsofjoy::fearscream:

  7. It's always a rollercoaster @Sam1199 :)

I did remind a Sunderland fan at work last night that he's been saying The Championship is "shite" and NUFC should walk that league. I've been keeping my powder dry, I don't really get involved in it all, but just drop the occasional bomb. Last night I reminded him of his statement and asked if they would come straight back up. He (rather unconvincingly) said they would "piss it" :) It's in the memory bank. :D

  8. As a Mackem I very much doubt they will piss it, its hard to know how many of the current squad will jump ship and how many they will get rid of anyway. I think most of the championship would beat us at the minute.

  9. I was listening to Chris Waddle on the radio a few days ago and despite his seemingly obvious love of the club and the area he had serious concerns for Newcastle staying in the PL, and for footbal in the N East in general. I hope it's just unfounded worry, and the PL has at least 2 NE teams in there for the foreseeable.

I do agree with @Kingfixer though, i.e. how many of the current squad will stay at Sunderland, but also feel that those same players who are likely to jump ship are the ones that are not really needed for the much tougher battles to be had in the 2nd tier.

  10. Working in Sunderland, it's about a 60/40 SAFC/NUFC split. Most of the Sunderland supporters are great lads, but there's the odd gob shite. That being said, there's the odd Newcastle one too. ;)

  11. The state of NE football isn't good at all, at least Newcastle will be in the PL next season, I personally don't think Boro will survive. I hope Newcastle do well as the only representative of the NE clubs. As an ex pat living in Bristol I don't get to see them much at all, in fact only 2 away games this season in which the Swansea supporters we talked to thought we would beat them and they turned us over 3-0, I felt sorry for all the supporters who must have travelled for hours to get there.
But you support the team you love through thick and thin that's what its all about !!

  12. It's going to take a lot of investment on behalf of the owner and the manager staying to keep Newcastle up. Let's hope he's learned his lesson. I'm not so sure he has.

  13. Family guy, American dad, cleaveland show, bobs burgers and the simpsons - pretty much all I watch on TV. I don't know if that says more about me or TV

  14. If Defoe leaves, NUFC will be staying in the Championship. He scores half the goals.

  15. Congrats. I'm hoping my second team, Huddersfield come up too.

  16. Have NUFC signed Defoe? :Jawdrop: Wow, I missed that with watching MotoGP all day. :Watching:

  17. I'll come back in a couple of weeks to talk about your "first team" ;)

  18. Sorry. Newcastle, Sunderland - all sort of the same thing? :grinning:
