Great news for those in the Essex Suffolk area after the sad demise of Parkies of Colchester.. I've just spoken to Glen (Ducati technician from Parkies) and he's currently setting up his own company called MOTO V which will be located opposite Parkies old shop.. It should be up and running in the next 3 weeks.. No contact details can be given yet, but, any questions you may have, I will pass on for you to Glen directly, eg bookings or information if it helps you.. I'm supporting him, I hope you guys will too.. Setting up any business these days is not easy, so please, those who need expert Ducati servicing and repairs in this area, give him your best, and give him a go... Thank you for your anticipated help.. NOODS
This is very good news... Glen is a very good mechanic and a top guy. Definitely worth a pop in to have your bike looked at.
Hi... Just spoke with Glen he said.. " no Ducati are phasing out service centres ( whatever that means.. ) so he won't have support, but he will get official parts supplied" he is starting small with one ramp..tea, and service with a smile..
Hi.. Hopefully this week/next week.. He's got all the specialist Ducati tools along with premises and liability ins etc.. I'm passing on names and contact details of those wishing to book slots.. Until he gets his business phone up and running.. He's got lots booked in already, so anyone who's interested pass on your details and I will make sure your on his contact list.. Best wishes NOODS
Just booked my first service with him, Glens a top man and I'm sure he's going to do well, also very busy at moment!
I suffered big end failure on my 2001 748s. Moto-V went out of their way to source parts and work the issue, for me, the one on one service supplied at moto-V was second to none. Outstanding. 1st class work 1st class service 1st class bloke Can't praise Glen and moto-V enough, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
Surely make sense for him to put blog on here as I said mine just booked into hyside cos could find no one closer and I 10 mins from Colchester has he got all plug in equipment needed ?
I was going to say there is already a Moto V - but the thread is two years old so no scandal here :Finger:
Hi mte I'm NOODS... I'm a long time friend of Glens and have tried my best to help him from set up with Moto V.. I pleased to say he's doing very very well, mainly because of his attention to detail, his friendly manner, and his 20 yrs Ducati expirience which includes Desmocedici factory training too.. in answer to your question, yes mte he has all the plug in gear for diagnostics etc and more.. May I suggest you either give him a call on Tues mte or if you prefer you can PM me with your details and I will get him to call you.. Hope this helps.. Any futher help I can be mte, just shout..
Had my Stada done at Glenns (Moto V) apart from having no biscuits :screamcat:, he had everything else for the bike, all the technological trickery and gubbins. Best thing to do is ring him, tell him what you have and what you think you need doing and he will have a chat. He used to be at Parkie's for many years but he went on his own to create Moto V. Absolutely would have no trouble recommending him and would use him again.
Further recommendation from me for Glen following a full service on my 848. Very friendly and helpful and offers good advice
Had the cam belts done today at Moto V. Highly recommended. Great attention to detail and gave the bike a once over. Excellent service
