Is this exhaust valve working properly? When the bike is in idle, the valve stay open or closed? Thanks!
Not sure if it is or isn't. All I can say is best place for it is the bin! If it wasn't working right, you might get the light on the dash.
That's the exhaust valve motor. You need to see what effect it's movement has in rotating the actual valve on the exhaust link pipe. The valve attenuates exhaust noise to about 3000 rpm so the motor will open the valve above that value. As Bettes says the best place for it is in the parts bin and disable the exbv in the ECU.
No light on the dash, and no error. The valve isn't stuck, Its moving. But it looks like a little bit erratic.
