Alstare Ducati have been continuing their preparations for the new WSB season after a 2 year agreement between the Italian company and the Belgian organization was signed last November. First off, the Team SBK Ducati Alstare unvieled their new livery and colour scheme ahead of the new season. The metallic red that the team has came up with as well as the other various designs that were a collaboration between Ducati and Team Alstare and the new sponsors - Energy Trading International, FIAMM Group, FICC and TIM - will also don the the rider's apparel and the fairings of the bikes themselves. There has also been significant action behind the scenes in relation to the 1199 Panigale RS13 bike that is going to be used by the team this year. Last year the team rode the 1098R with little success and it is hoped that, this time around, there will be a much better performance on the track with the much acclaimed and highly praised 1199. With riders Carlos Checa and Ayrton Badovini taking the helm for the team this season then there is experience and talent at their disposal however a poor test run in Jerez which was mainly down to the bad weather has seriously curtailed a lot of their plans for the 2013 season already. They lost some 3 hours of valuable track time due to the poor conditions and they have more testing scheduled for 4-15 February at Phillip Island before the kick off the 2013 season proper.
