Centre Line?

Discussion in 'Supersport (1974-2007)' started by Nasher, Mar 11, 2017.

  1. Hi

Can anyone confirm, or deny, that the crankcase split line on an early carbie 900 engine is exactly along the centreline of the bike?

I'm mucking about with swingarms, rear wheels etc on the mongrel 900 I'm putting together and need to establish the exact centreline of the bike to position the rear wheel.

It looks to me like the two arms of the standard ali 900 arm could be at slightly different angles, so just positioning the wheel rim/tyre central between the swingarm arms could be wrong, unless some body can say otherwise.

    Thanks

  2. Mount your forks and front wheel. Align everything to that, simples :)
