Does Anyone Have Experience In Fitting Reverse Shift Rearsets?

Discussion in 'Technical Help' started by Martin Jarvis, Feb 18, 2017.

  1. I'm looking at some new rearsets and was considering reverse shift rearsets. Not sure what changes if any I would need to make to my 1199.

    Thanks

  2. Do they do a direct fit gear shaft? If so, nothing else, just remove the standard one. Or can you spin it upside down?

I think you may need to do something with the ECU because of QS etc.

  3. Pretty sure you can't on a Pani, the shaft is in an awkward position and it's a convoluted linkage arrangement, my mate has some on his 899 that can be changed to either pattern by moving the QS link rod either above or below the pivot point not sure what make they are though

  4. They're Ducabike ones :upyeah:

  5. I have Austin Racing AKA Giamoto rearsets on mine with the reverse shifter. @Freak has reverse shift, using Lightech rearsets and the standard QS

  6. The Gilles FXR on my 1299 will switch to either without affecting anything. Some require the reverse switch that ducati sell for the QS.
