Ducati Dealer-reasonable Or Unreasonable

Discussion in 'Monster' started by spanish, Apr 8, 2017.

  1. I know how you feel, been there many times but no more for me. Agree with the Termi argument as a seller but leaving them on is a good selling attraction, I wouldn't buy a Ducati without them, everybody wants them and when you have a choice of Monsters for sale you'd go for the one with the Termis. This one done highish mileage but from a dealer with his profit etc makes your offer about right..☹️

The other advantage dealers have is offering finance, if you advertise yours for say £12k that's a lot of cash for a private buyer to find, he'd probably rather pay £100 month.

  2. Great decision :upyeah:

  3. Finance also gives a kind-of warranty while paying off.

  4. Yep, seen this hundreds of times. People who spend / lose thousands trading to a car with warranty to save a bill of a few hundreds. Bonkers.

  5. At 11 months old it still has lots of manufacturers warranty :Finger:

  6. More a comment in finance generally than that particular bike.

Finance as a kind of warranty cover probably makes more sense on lower value bikes where a big end going writes the bike off.
