Despite a slight problem with the voting system (my fault I admit) there was still a great deal of interest in the second annual Ducati Forum Darren 470 Four Bike of the year contest. Last year Desmohog was victorious, but this year the honour fell to Kope with his magnificent 1199r Raymond Roche Trackday Project with over 17% of the votes. His prise is the Darren 470 Four Trophy and a pair of MotoGP tickets of his choosing. thanks again to all ! As i said before, being here is a great contributor to the joy i derive from the project! . i'd like to buy you all a beer when we will be over the weekend of the 13th til 16th this month : So in Derby we will be at the Risley Hall Hotel Derby Road in Risley on the 13th and Friday it will Be the Cricketers inn in Easton Hampshire on the 14th .. if anyone wants to joins us or has a better idea, we're open to it. a location for saturday 15th can still be decided , preferably on the way home through the south ... but don't feel obliged..
good question ..something's brewing.. would very much like to see a 1989/90 Raymond Roche rep 851 next to this one... or a ultra-leightweight (140kg) 996RS -999R-1098R engined pierobon in the same colours... picked up some bits and bobs for the front last week...
OMG next years winner as well then , get it three years in a row and you must surely keep the trophy . Congrats though with the 1199 .
851, now there's a lovely image/sound. You should try getting that one into a modern art gallery. Probably not the first time a Ducati has been in one mind.
Not only a worthy winner, but true to his word of buying a few beers too. Catch up in the Summer, oh don't have too much fun will you?
