  1. Here's a photo history showing the evolution of Ducati superbikes over the last 20 years. Enjoy.

  2. U forgot one? (Well actually 2, the 1299, s and new 'panigale R'

    • Thanks Thanks x 1
  3. Just to be a nerd: the 2003 749 isn't. That's the later facelift model with the uprated swinger. Original swinger was grey and not so nice.
    Nice gallery though!

  4. Thanks Glid. Is the one pictured above a later year 749?

  5. Fixed.

  6. The 999 got the later swinger and facelift in 2005. I expect the 749 was uprated at the same time. 749 experts will be along shortly, I have no doubt.
You could also include the original red 851 like I had (1990, maybe). It didn't have the truncated side panels or the ridge on the tank, but it had a bigger sticker on the fairing, I think (see my photo album).

  7. Still scratching my head about the 959 pipes o_O just plain stupid.

  8. 998R?

  10. Do you know what?

If they'd released a "street fighter" 959 Pani' without fairing with those pipes, everyone would be saying how cool they look.

TBH, they're growing on me... I do keep flirting with the "sell the lot - except for the Scrambler - and get an 899" thought... I think the 899 is a surefire classic... but then which Ducati Superbike *isn't*?

    That 888... seriously, that 888...

  11. You missed the original 1994 Strada :Wideyed:

  12. Funnily enough, the pipes don't worry me. It's the tacky reflectors on the forks that keep poking me in the eye. :Bag:

  13. Too many photos of the modern bikes with *every* variant pictured. I appreciate that the pics are harder to find but I wonder if we can even it up and do the same for the older bikes?

  14. You missed the 848 Evo Corse SE ;)

  15. There's a few discrepecies there.
749 didnt come in yellow with the box arm.
    999R is 05 facelift not 03.
Paso and 907 are not classed as superbike imho(2V sport tourers), superbike desination is generally reserved for 4V sportsbikes. But seeing as i have a 907 its nice to see it amongst the classy models.

  16. Great post. All stunning. Ta

  17. Great post!! Amazing Gallery!

  18. Love the 888 and if anyone wants to leave a legacy after they are gone and they own an sp4 then by all means change your will and leave it to me. I can guarantee if you do you will meet a mysterious end a week later.
What about the super mono , did it influence super bike development?
