So after a few years having the Delights of simply stripping the 996 in a matter of minutes, I have spent the best part of an afternoon taking off the standard system of off my 1299... Man man man what a fiddly job.. Anyone got an tips on the manifold removal as mine are fighting back against me ...
Rear Top tip. Undo the subframe lower bolts then loosen the side bolts and prop the subframe up. Dont forget to remove the seat Its a PITA of job
Managed to get the oem system off, a real PITA ... I still have the fan unit attached, but can see it will be a little easier to reach the front manifold nuts.... it's going to be a long Sunday
