Dani Pedrosa finally showed his class and broke his team-mate Marc Marquez’s winning streak this weekend as Jorge Lorenzo and Valentino Rossi, finishing second and third respectively, forced the young Spaniard, off the podium completely. Pic courtesy of BBC - Homepage At Brno in the Czech Republic Grand Prix, Pedrosa who has so often been the bridesmaid and never the bride, celebrated as he crossed the line 0.410s ahead of Jorge Lorenzo, 5.259 seconds ahead of Rossi and over 10 seconds ahead of Marquez making it the first time he’d been knocked off the podium this season. However despite finishing fourth, Repsol Honda rider Marquez still has a 77-point lead over his team-mate Dani Pedrosa and is 90 points ahead of Rossi in the Championship. Sorry to be a killjoy, but could I ask that these posts DON'T contain spoilers in the title? A search for new posts turns into a bit of a giveaway! Maybe something like "Brno MotoGP - Contains Spoilers" would be better?
So we watched the race on Spanish television and my Spanish consists of please, thank you, tomato bread and beer. Was any clue given as to why Marquez's bike seemed to under perform or is there a more cynical point of view ? Andy
So glad I didn't have this to watch and didn't want to know the result, fortunately the title gave nothing away...
Nothing going was mentioned on the MotoGP commentary and I haven't seen anything since. Only suggestions that maybe it was a settings error
The Moto3 was one of the best races I've ever seen. Brilliant stuff. Screw the other classes, Moto3 is ace.
One does not converse with oily west coast peasants. Nor does one explain oneself. Now fetch me my bags and make it snappy before I set the dogs on you.
I'm sorry but that was a crash. The fact that he got back onto the bike and wheelied off into the distance, all without stopping, is immaterial. Bloody hell!
