Congratulations on the bike Steevie I'm looking to get a test ride myself I need a bike that can carry a pillon I'm hoping the ss will fit the bill If not it could be a RS or a very old VFR And keep the 1199
My mates got a bm12rs. Hates it with a passion. Cant wait to get shot and back on a duke. He's fallen in lurve with multi 950.
I had the RS for two days last year Extended demo run I can't fault the bike, and the reality is it's quick enough for our roads. But It's soulless no grin factor I keep trying to convince my self its all I need The fact 9 months later and I'm still looking for alternatives Tells it's own story I just hope I like the SS And the Mrs can get on with it I'm not really wanting to run two bikes and the expense that goes with it.
He's not impressed with the(1200RS) handling and it doesnt go for a 1200, my clapped out overgeared(16T front) 907 stays with it top gear acceleration.
We took the S out today My thoughts Mirrors useless ,some vibes through the seat, may need to play with the screen Neutral a bitch to find hopefully get easier in time,(easier to kill the engine ,then select neutral. Quickshifter wasn't as smooth as expected again with some miles I expect it to get better. I liked the motor, revs freely Handling wasn't bad to be fair it was set up for rider only ,so when pushing on in the corners it was bouncing but the fact I felt comfortable to push says a lot. Loved the popping coming off the power Didn't get chance to take it out on my own ,but it can only be better . The wife feedback pillion seat to short and very hard lots of vibes through the seat Peg position good with no vibes She said she could put up with it if we stopped every hour or so So I pulled the trigger Gone for the white Comfort seat ordered to appease the wife (My seat felt good normal one up riding no need to change imho) Luggage ordered Ducati levers Heated grips Venture shield Ackros I was tempted with the slip ons But I've left those at the moment dealer advised not a lot of difference between them, mainly cosmetic So I'll hold fire . I need to look at hugger and aftermarket screens Any suggestions I will also book a session with race lab to have the suspension set up for one and two people £100 approx money well spent I always think
