  1. Stripped the fairing off to give the bike a good clean ready for the summer and I found this little present lurking....

  4. It is, picked it up at the end of August last year. Doesn't seem to have lost much oil looking at the level. Just wondered if anyone here would have an idea of what might be the issue.

Have to get onto the dealers tomorrow and see what they think....massive pita though, weather looks great for next weekend and I'm away most of the week working, so gonna struggle to get anything sorted before then :(

  5. nelly on here might b your man to ask?

  6. Thanks, might drop him a quick message.

  7. British Small Arms co, made bikes that leaked oil along with Triumph and a few others.

  8. Ah, I think I had one of their push bikes when I was a kid.....sadly I don't think this one I have now is supposed to leak :(

  9. Those are just tears from being made to sit in the garage all winter.

  11. Well, the oiI leak has been getting worse (still only a weap at worst, never so much that it drips) and coming from more locations around the engine now. Booked in for the 7th June, but ok to ride for the time being. Today I thought I'd go for a bimble on it as the weather is good.....went to pull off and the clutch is biting right at the bars, it's an utter shit to find neutral and it appears that the fluid in the pot that connects to the clutch level has been forced out of the pot as a similar fluid is sprayed around in the general area. Not masses but a noticeable amount.

    Anyone seen that before?

  12. So may panigales seem to be having problems. Not good for the brand at all

  13. Not going to put me off though, it'll be sorted I'm sure :)

Just a bit of a nightmare right now as it's pretty much unrideable as it is (and with the clutch grabbing while it's fully in I don't want to do any/anymore damage to it). Probably means a hire bike for the Ducati day at Donington too :(

  14. Just make sure you don't hire a ducati!

  15. That fluid if not cleaned of will remove all paint it touches .

  16. Yeah :( Checked around and it doesn't seem to have made it onto anything painted that's obvious, cleaned the rest up. Mostly on the top on the front leg so seems to have blown that way out.

  17. I need to check what they do actually have.....if I can't take mine which looks very likely, I wouldn't mind a day on the 899 just to see really. I suspect that'll be popular though for hiring :(

  18. any closure to this leak?
