the original dzus type fasteners on my bike were a bit tatty and had been painted gold at some point, so i swapped them for newer generic dzus fasteners. i'd like to get the originals re-plated however and put them back on, anyone know where i might get them done? new oe ones are quite pricey, so it might be worth getting them done.anyone have a picture of the original finish please?
Redditch electroplating. I have stacks of bolts and parts regularly plated by them and their finish is exactly the same as the Ducati originals. It's worth doing a number of items at the same time as they are done by the bucket. Seat brackets and headlight brackets look really good when newly refinished. Send any bolts that you want done also at the same time as well. He did a whole bike's worth of bolts for me last time including brackets for £38, that's a few kilos worth of parts.
