Agree, Bought one too and yes noted that have to take care as there is a fine balance point. Although my bike does not tip on its own. I am aware that its teethring - so ok for nervous oil lubes but I wont trust it without somekind of rigging. Bugs
I have an 'orig 2010 and I think the front is lighter with less fairing I think, the stand is not awful but I was suprised I couldnt really trust it - its my first stand and I took it as thats what single-sided stands are - a bit dangerous' Aainst the wall is not really an option a bit of rigging to the ceiling or something may do, I only use it to oil the chain and adjust chain anyway, I wouldn't clean the bike or use to do any work where it would involve leaving unattended or puting side forces on the bike.
Not being an arse, but shouldn't the chain be checked / adjusted on the side stand ? My stand is fine btw.
Bought a Harris stand myself - not cheap but it's a work of art - bought it a few years back for my hyper and bought a new centre pin for the multi and it's still going strong - will outlive me for sure
I bought a 'Warrior' stand off eBay for £38 (50% off apparently) and to my surprise it's solid as a rock and being used to store my Multi upright (although I have been checking it daily...) Warrior Single Sided Motorcycle / Bike Paddock Stand For Ducati (40mm Axle Pin) | eBay Only slight downside compared to all my other paddock stands is that it's huge but only an issue if your garage is rammed with other bikes like mine!
