  1. Motorcycle shows in Italy and Germany now boast the public “premières” of the brand new Ducati Diavel, providing enthusiastic motorcyclists their first chance to get close to the exciting new model.
    The Motodays Event

In Italy the public première takes place at the Motodays show at the Fiera di Roma, and in Germany at the Motorräder Dortmund show at the Messe Westfalenhallen in Dortmund, Germany. Both events run from the 6-9 March and follow the model’s spectacular preview in Geneva on 3 March, when the new Diavel was a surprise unveiling during Volkswagen Group Night on the eve of the 84th International Motorshow. With high demand forecast for the Bologna-built sport cruiser, deliveries to Ducati stores around the world are scheduled to start from April 2014 onwards.
Visitors to the Motodays event will see the entire Ducati range in Hall 4 and have the opportunity to try and purchase items from the new Ducati Apparel 2014 collection. During the closing weekend of Motodays (Sunday 9 March), official Ducati Superbike Team rider, Davide Giugliano, will meet fans at the Ducati stand at 12:30. Ducati Roma, the first store directly managed by Ducati, will also run an “open to all’ event, inviting Ducati enthusiasts to a giant motorcycle convoy riding from the Ducati Roma store to the Fiera di Roma in style. Potential participants are invited to sign-up via the events section of the Ducati Roma Facebook page.
    Motorräder Dortmund

The Motorräder Dortmund show is the largest motorcycle spring trade fair in Germany and organisers predict around 100,000 visitors will have the opportunity to see the stunning new Diavel model for the first time. The 350 square metre Ducati stand also presents the complete 2014 range in addition to the stylish Ducati Apparel 2014 collection.
The new Ducati Diavel presents further enhancement of its sport cruiser model, featuring the latest version of the Testastretta 11° DS engine, a new exhaust system and latest technological elements such as the new full-LED headlight, all combining the powerful and assertive personality of the model with the sophisticated styling synonymous with the iconic Ducati brand. The new model follows the company’s “Performance Redefined” philosophy, using cutting-edge innovation and technology to provide a smoother, safer and more rider-friendly experience, enabling easier access for the ever-increasing number of people who desire the unique thrill of riding a Ducati.
The Diavel remains in a class of its own, unique, innovative and bold and a benchmark that continues to attract motorcyclists around the world. Built to have a commanding presence, though lightweight and agile in typical Ducati style, the new Diavel takes the rider/motorcycle relationship to another level in absolute comfort. For connoisseurs of technology, the latest generation Testastretta 11° Dual Spark engine combines with full LED illumination, ABS, Ducati Traction Control and Ducati Riding Modes to deliver a confidence-inspiring superiority, while new styling, 162hp and 205kg* (452lb) of pure Ducati drives a comfortable sport lifestyle previously only dreamt of.
Merging the worlds of power and style is achieved with convincing precision. A specially engineered 240 section rear tyre combined with Ducati chassis technology serves up mind-blowing handling and lean angles which defy the laws of physics, whether carving through curves or simply cruising the boulevards.
The new Diavel is dressed in stylish Dark Stealth livery, a black trellis frame and black wheels. The Diavel Carbon offers the choice of traditional Ducati Red over Matte Carbon with red frame or the stunning new Star White over Matte Carbon with white frame, both with black, forged wheels by Marchesini, turned and milled to expose the natural aluminium. Both models will start to arrive in Ducati stores around the world from April 2014 onwards.
