Ss Owners: What Other Bikes Do You Ride?

Discussion in 'Supersport (1974-2007)' started by ck_uk, Mar 22, 2017.

  1. I'm thinking about getting an additional bike, doesn't have to be Ducati.
Just wondering what additional bikes other SS owners have?

  2. A Mk1 white frame 900SS, Honda 1981 CB250RS in original condition, another CB250RS that's in bits and going to get turned into a brat/tracker type thing when I get my finger out and lastly a BMW R1150R which I've just sold this week so on the lookout for something to replace it. Hmm decisions decisions

  4. Just taken delivery of a new BM R1200RS - utterly fantastic bit of kit (like golf geezer, I've just sold my BM R1150R to make space in the garage - also a brilliant do it all bike).

Have also got an 89 MZ TS250, a 71 B175 Bantam and a 68 Velosolex (I have a thing for utilitarian two strokes...) that get regular airings.....and usually attract more attention than my 900SS - go figure....

  6. How did you get on with the BM?

  7. A 1993 900SS, a 2002 900SSie, a 2002 ST4S and enough spares in my loft to build another carby.

  8. 900ss white frame, Scrambler Icon, Honda CBR1000F, Honda CR750 replica, by far and away the 900ss is my favourite, full of character and so good looking (the 900 not me).

  9. Great bike. Only sold it because it was nearing 60k miles but the condition of it was superior to many bikes I've seen with 1/4 of the miles. Lots of torque, long tank range, comfy and with heated grips and full OEM luggage meant long distances could be covered with ease

  10. 92 851 and 65 BMW R27.

  11. Ditto for mine. Incredibly underrated bike. Can tour/scratch/commute. High quality and wears well. Plenty of character. Covers ground surprisingly quickly considering "only" 85bhp. Telelever front end is sublime.

  12. Husqvarna WR165. You're only a complete biker when you have one with road tyres and one with knobblies!

always amazes me how different to each other they are. They have the same soul but give totally different riding experiences

  14. Kawasaki KLX 300R Enduro, as above you've gotta have one for the road and one for the mud !

  15. Both beautiful, nice taste!

  16. BMW R1200 GS Adventure

  17. Honda NC700X (manual) - commuter bike in all weathers. I wash it once a year. has 19000 miles on it now from 3yrs use. cost me £4800 nearly new. The 'frunk' is amazingly useful.

    1991 900ss summer ride.

  18. Ducati 600ss (with 750 engine and various mods) for the road and a Honda XR400 for the mud. Best of both worlds :)[IMG][IMG]
