Well I've just bought myself a lovely 2004 ST3 tonite and have a question; I'm taking the Termis and K&N filter off my ST2 and want to fit them to the 3, do I need a chip (Is there an EPROM) or an ECU change, or can I just run it with both items swapped over??? Thanks in advance guys. P.S. Anyone interested in a lovely low mileage 21.000KM '98 ST2 with all the right mods? It will be up for sale in the next couple of weeks.
My personal feelings are runnning a bike with cans only on std ecu is ok but with k+n and chopped lid then chip or pc3 reqd. I think you'll be hard pushed to find ecu or pc3 for ST3 but @chrisw might be able to help with ecu flash.
Cheers Fella, running my ST2 without the performance EPROM with the Termis made it spit back through the throttle bodies, that's why I'm asking. Thanks again for your input though.
I've found a "sports" ECU on ebay but it's £350! I'll just stick the cans on and see how it goes I think.
