What you see is what you get. A brand new Ergal clutch basket; a used but virtually unmarked 6 ball and ramp Ergal clutch centre that has been on a bike for about 150 miles; spider spring; (6) steel balls; large (998) and small (748/9*6) gearbox shaft nuts; (2) special washers; (6) used springs, (6) used collars and bolts; a used but useable set of (8) aluminium sintered friction and (3x2mm + 5x1.5mm) steel compression plates; a brand new tarty red pressure plate with new bearing and finally a used but nice condition aftermarket open clutch cover. The only items you will need to reuse from your own bike are the clutch push rod, the push rod top hat that fits in the pressure plate bearing, the 8 bolts that secure the clutch basket and the 4 bolts that secure the clutch cover. All this for the paltry sum of £475 when collected from the RG26 postcode (Reading, M4 J11/Newbury, M4 J13/Basingstoke, M3 J6 triangle) or Moto Rapido in Winchester as I seem to spend a lot of my time (and money) there. It is not the lightest collection of parts however I am prepared to send it by Parcel Force or your choice of courier within the UK mainland only for what it costs me. Andy
The nuts are as described by the supplier of the clutch kit and if I recall correctly, past forum posts referring to slipper clutches have also identified a larger gearbox shaft nut for the 998. If a prospective buyer finds that it is not required, the nut can always be consigned to where odd nuts, bolts and washers always end up just in case it might be useful at some time in the future. Andy
That is not correct. 998 has a Testastretta engine and has an M20 nut on the clutch. M20 nut and compatible models: DesmoDuck Part Fiche - Cross-reference Part Number: 75010021B 1098, 1198 etc. have M25 nuts. EDIT: Doesn't really matter though since you have both nuts (*chuckle*), GLWS
Bump. A few extra (useable) sintered friction and a extra couple of 2mm compression plates added for good measure and adjustability. Andy
Yeah, I remember this, if it doesn't sell by spring I may be paying you a visit, got a few other things higher up the list. Sounds a cracking bit of kit.
