Victory To Cease Production

Discussion in 'Other Bikes' started by Ken Oaff, Jan 10, 2017.

  1. Polaris have announced yesterday that Victory is to cease production and they are concentrating on the Indian Brand name

  2. Winding Down
On January 9, 2017, parent company Polaris Industries issued a press release[28] announcing that they would immediately begin winding down operations of Victory Motorcycles due to struggles establishing market share and limited profitability. The brand itself would also be discontinued. Dealers were to liquidate inventories, while spare parts would be made available for ten years. Dealers were to continue offering service and warranty coverage to owners.

  3. Sorry to hear that.

  4. I'm not. How many different makes of tractor do we need?

  5. Not altogether surprised. They never had the ring of authenticity about them and IMO none of them were lookers. They look like what they are - imitation Harleys, even if some of them were better bikes than their Harley equivalents. Indian has the looks and the pedigree which is important for the US market.
Victory made some good engines though. Shame to see them disappear.

  6. 1700cc, only 90hp, harley imitation, hulking great ugly piece of junk nothing to mourn, all we need now is harley to go down the pan and rid the planet of more rubbish
