What Bolts? 916

  1. hi again
    what bolts/nuts do the front of the air scoops where they attach to the 2 lugs on either side of the headlight bowl use
    Ive probably got some in the huge tin of parts but didn't take the bike apart so have no idea

  2. They're special bolts but basically, M6 x 20 ish, oversized button heads.
     
  3. The "nuts" used are wellnuts, If they are not in the headlamp holder then you will need to replace them with fresh ones.

    The bolts go through the fairing and also through the air tubes and locate into the wellnuts. The bolts also have a nylon washer under them to help protect the paint on the fairing.

  5. Download the parts manual from the Ducati website and you will get a clear picture of what is needed.

    The headlamp fitting was the same throughout the 748 to 998 range
     
  6. M6 x 20 caphead with a large (15mm) diameter cap and a nylon washer, screws into a wellnut fitted into the headlight housing;
