620 What Is The Lever For?

Discussion in 'Multistrada' started by barryw33, Jan 22, 2017.

  1. Was fitting a trickle charger connector this morning to the rear footrest on the right hand side of the bike when I noticed a spring loaded fold out lever on the footrest. It's only on that side not the other. I thought maybe it was a grab handle for use when putting the bike on the centre stand but it goes down and not up.

    Any clues anyone?

  2. Pic might help

  3. Centre stand one should be on the left side of the bike and naturally springs down. It's black and moulded for fingers.

  4. You are correct,it is a leaver for helping lifting the bike onto the centre stand.it sould fold out to aid lifting then flip back when you let go,never bothered fitting mine cause i am a strapping lad and do not require assistance in the stand department.

  5. Piccy?

  11. The centre stand. If I asked her to do my posts on here she might think I'd got above my station and she'd beat me. [emoji856]

  12. Mine was like that. Didn't have rubber. 2013 dual spark S touring

  13. Mine was the same as yours bradders, and had the rubber on it ?

  14. Don't remember there being a rubber but tbh I can barely remember what I had for dinner last Thursday :)

  15. Mine looked painted or dipped, up to the joint.

  16. Checked pictures and mine had a rubber sheath on too.

Now I'll go see if I can find a multi picture;)

  17. Bradders, can you post your pic up with the rubber sheath on, I want to compare it with mine :Woot:
