Album: 888SPS #031

1991 Ducati 888SPS; delivered new to Japan and campaigned in the All Japan Superbike Championship for several seasons. It was restored by TFD Head Engineer Koichi Nagoya, who was Nori Haga’s mechanic in the era. The bike has been authenticated by both Ducati SpA and Livio Lodi, a name an Ducatisti will recognise.

Koichi san prepared a spectacular 51-page pictorial report of the restoration, in which he points out what makes the SPS so special and so different to SP4 & SP5, and by such detail he also defines how one establishes a genuine SPS.

Presently located in Coffs Harbour, NSW Australia, this is a fabulous bike that I never tire of riding.
