When will dealers be taking deliveries of the new V4 super duper bike? Anyone put a deposit down? Do we think there will be deals to be had on the 1199/1299 Panigales? I remember back in 2006 I bagged a decent deal on a 999R because the 1098's were filling the showroom floor. I can't decide whether to hang back for a V4. I've a sneaky suspicion they'll be amazing.... Decisions eh. How do we sleep at night??
The toy cupboard is full mate. No room.... I think a Panigale R would look ace in the kitchen but Mrs. Hinge would have non of it. Pah!
Didn’t think there were any new 1299 left anywhere? Used prices will remain strong as the v4 will generate interest in the brand and people who can’t get a v4 will look at the twin. Plus some people want the twin as it’s the last of a breed and all that rubbish.
Dealers haven’t had stocks of 1299’s for a fair while mate. I had ‘one of’ the last 1299’s jan/feb time and was told by three local dealers it was one of around five left at the time.
Not brand new..but plenty will come up with under 3000 miles. There are plenty of guys out there on PCP...so these will start to hit the showrooms in 1 year time. About the same time the V4 is out. If one could have stretched to a 1299S...he can part exchange and throw in another 10K for a V4. Already saving for a mint 1299S that I am planning to buy end of 2018 for about £ 12000 to add to the existing stable
Good point about the pcp deals and people renewing. Could be an ideal time to get a low mileage 1299S if you were that way inclined.
I can't see the 1299 used prices softening much if any at all. Prices have already dropped and supply is limited with good demand.
I'd put money on it that it's not unusual, mucho interest for all the right reasons, probably the most important release since the 916
I'll keep my powder dry. Remember the Aprilia RSV4 release? Oops.... It's a fantastic bike but that press release has hampered sales to this day. Mind you, I'm fairly certain that with Ducati's trickle down technology from MotoGP, their new V4 will be magnificent. Exciting times, let's wait and see...
The marketing machine is effective at spinning the hype. I want one before I've seen, heard or ridden one.
