1299 Panigale Fe. Good Investment?

  1. All the bikes you mention have doubled in value over the last 3 to 5 years here :)

  2. Guess I may be out of touch with prices, I used to see cheap MH900e's and Sennas not so long ago, but maybe I'm getting too old and time is flying too fast.
Besides all this just getting out and doing the kms is what it's all about. The older and daggier the Ducs, the further I ride them.

  3. What’s the price of a decent 1199 over there now?

  4. Not sure, I'm guessing about $20k to $22k AUD for an S model, maybe less.
All I know is the only bikes I've made money on is by accident, not design. Two only: a Pantah 600TL that nobody ever wanted here, or anywhere, I found in a car dealer cheap, used it, and sold a year later for 30% more, and the MHR I've owned for decades and not sold yet. Too lazy to sell her.

  5. Yes David,a miniscule tank that would probably get you about 70 miles. However you would probably top up at about 35 so you could get of and re arrange your body. Not the most comfortable of bikes, but a dream to ride on the right roads.
I only sold mine due to Tempus Fugit-I felt sorry for it sitting forlornly in the garage. It was bought by a true Ducati enthusiast who was going to ride it and enjoy it.I am more a scrambler person now, easier for we to push around and get on,and a hoot to ride.

  6. Of course there is a solution :) :
