I really struggle with the traditional biker look. I commute from East London to Paddington doing max speed of 30mph +/- I wear regular jeans, extra tall Red Wing boots, Knox’s most heavily armored shirt under a non-moto Belstaff leather jacket. I have armored jeans but don’t rate them. They are incredibly ugly and the armor flops around. In colder months I sometimes wear long Kevlar underwear under regular jeans. Anything a bit wilder than city speeds I wear a Dainese D-Air airbag jacket, full Dainese leather pants and proper race boots. I’ve done a somersault in those and come away without a scratch.
