Silly Dealers

  1. But you're about 30k light there though :p

  2. A friend of mine is managing director of a Ford dealership with four branches. His total turnover is around £79m a year......................and his net profit? Approximately £273k a year! And he is one of the most profitable dealers in the Ford network apparently.

  3. Nope...the bank is....all on my mortgage slush account... :)

Think about it this way....average out a bike change at roughly 2 to 3k at a time....3 changes and that's the price of my hyper...

  4. This is true Andy, but if I change every 2 years, that covers 6 years, how much is your hyper worth then ? And you have 3 bikes, so in my man maths, that's 18 years of changes, which gives me 9 bikes not just 3. (But I get your point, its just I like to change every couple of years) :D:p:upyeah:

  5. True, but, I get the benefit also of using the right tool for the job....Sunday morning blast (rsv4) distance....(z1ooo) hooligan....(hyper) inner city hooligan (525) must confess I hardly use the 525....last time I was out on it I picked up a couple of hoodies but soon left them behind..! I'd say the 525 is the most likely to have a theft attempt on it...

After 18 months (the last bike I bought) I've no need (or want) to go any buy anything else (yes, even when I spent 2 hours in fowlers waiting for the rsv to be mot'd this morning!)

Your right on the numbers but.....how many sports bikes (the same ilk) would you go through as well...not trying to argue my point just healthy debate....I know I've shelled out a lot but, I get god knows how much enjoyment out of them and to me that's what really counts..... I've lost a few mates along the way in my life (some who didn't do the things they always wanted to [my dad included] so I do tend to take the "fuck it" attitude to life in some ways) :):):):):)

I'd hazard my hyper being worth about 8k ish....

  6. Back on track regarding dealers I've never heard a good word about riders in bristol....my mate has a scrambler which had a part recall...he phoned up riders bristol to book it in (this was in may) and they said we can book you in, in august.....2018....so now he goes out of his way not to use them (riders Bridgewater booked him in 2 weeks after the phone call)
