So, I think I would like the new V4, but not liking standard exhausts, or the fairing design, but do like the Speciale with the Akropovic and the rear sets look good too. Reality is though that I will sit this one out, until the dealer rings me tomorrow and persuades me othersise. lol Must resist....
Absolutely. It's awesome, and a steal for a special, respectively speaking. Without the graphics it looks a bit more Michelle McManus to me tho.
I was just looking at that on the Ducati website and had initially thought the same, Kind of still do a bit, but to say the extra £2k gets the ohlins front and back, plus steering damper and those God awful (upgrade) exhausts it's not too bad. Still at £16k you're right, it puts it up against the R1's and likely S1000rr's of this world which it just won't live with on track no matter what extra paint or bling gets thrown at it. I still actually quite fancy a Panigale, but I reckon buying a slightly older one and adding your own suspension upgrades would be the route to go, that is if I can find warranty cover
Ha ha ha, that'll be too in this context. Sorry mate, just could not resist! INCOMING!!! Right then, just up. So is the S 226hp too? Electronics? Suspension? Or do we have to bite the bullet and spunk 35k on the Speciale? Not interested in road riding these bad boys. Just track tomfoolery. Someone please answer as I really can't be arsed to find out for myself. Ta.
When all the 'Monster People' came on was like when all the special kids come on stage during those Christmas shows.
Because 200bhp just isn't enough... Panigale V4 is £19, 250 S model is £23,895 Speciale and its 226bhp is £34,995
I just don’t see £35k for a Speciale, the 1199 Tric was £23.5k and I know things have moved on but realistically how many people have that kind of cash to spend on a massed produced bike? You’re only £2.5k short of what a Desmo cost new with servicing included!! Like others have said BMW or Yam look like a much more attractive proposition financially, don’t get me wrong I’d love one but it’s just to expensive to consider new, in 2 years a Speciale will be £20k private sale let’s be honest, dealer will punt them out st £25-27k.
At 25k I’d buy a speciale.. Will have to wait and see what the new s1000 brings, and at what price.. not actually sure when it’s due to be unveiled. I like the look of the spy shots though
You will all be riding them (V4) with the standard cans on the MSV tracks! How big is that nose cone? It appears to be one piece right down to the join at clutch-level. That will be an expensive part to change if/when it gets scuffed! Mirrors seem to have reverted to 1199 style. How much extra will I have to pay for a comfortable seat?
Same as the base. (As with the v2) Reading though, apparently with a system the base and S is 220 horses
