It does come well loaded and I'm sure it will be a fantastic machine to both look at and own. I'm not sold on the looks without the Speacial paint scheme on it but I think its one of those that will grow on us and gain its appreciation from the majority given time. Fair play to Andy and anyone else whom is in a position to pull the trigger and put their names in the hat for one and I hope it works out for you @Android853sp
Strange how many were moaning about the looks in the spy shots, yet now money is being thrown around like its water. All a bit academic to me as its out of my price bracket but still looking forward to a V4 test ride next spring.
I own something far more unusual, special, beautiful, stylish, and evocative, its called Panigale 1199.
True but then it wouldn't be a level playing field then....I must sound really argumentative but I assure you I'm not....it just seems madness to build a bike with 2 different engines.... If they released a street fighter with the 1100 motor then yeah...I can totally agree with that...no rules no hologation just out and out grunt... like the tuono...
Well...no not really cos the engine configuration of the vtwin allows the 1199 capacity.....its like Yamaha doing an r1 1100....what's the point...? 899s are only raced in their own type....ie the tri options... I'd say its nothing more than power bragging rights....the v4 configuration as an engine design makes enough power....all they've done is just fragment it a bit more.
to get more power to allow the bike to achieve its true potential while overcoming the restrictive euro4 regulations?
Well...yeah Et but they've just gone and lumped themselves into that niche bracket haven't they?....the h2r is the same thing but....fair play to khi they always said it was a showpiece to exercise their engineering prowess.
Exactly. As I said, euro 4 is a waste of time as manufacturers just move the goalposts...I can see that I'm in the minority of....just me on this one...
its ok, we are all alone in our opinions at some point. there would be nothing to discuss if we all agreed.
Other than club racers or those intending on entering a series where such regulations of engine capacity have a bearing on their eligibility to compete, the vast majority of V4 buyers will be trackday enthusiasts or road riders, for whom none of this matters or applies.
Looks like Rossi is thinking 'here is me promoting some three wheeled pile of shite whilst Casey gets a ride on a V4 226bhp missile'
